Astrophytum myriostigma, 7 months.
I’m starting to think that the two red seedlings will stay that way. They all get the same amount of sun, but the green seedling grows like crazy compared to its two red friends.

They’re getting too big for my macro lens!
The disaster trio is looking pretty good!
Okay, so macro lenses and shiny rocks don’t work well together.
This is the most developed of the 3 remaining seedlings. The spines make me think they’re a Myriostigma/Ornatum hybrid, maybe even pure Ornatum, but I guess it’s still too early to tell.
The 4 seedlings I have left are slightly stressed, but at least 3 of them are hanging in there.
The disaster batch will not give in!
Not sure if the black spines are supposed to be there, though.
I nearly forgot about these guys.
The green seedling is growing fairly rapidly. It has almost taken the shape of an adult Astrophytum.
My disaster seedlings are hanging in there and are rocking their new fringe.
