Trochomeria macrocarpa, 2 years + 1 month
I think maybe the vines have realized that they should have gone dormant a couple of months ago as they pretty much stopped growing. The leaves look a bit funky too.

This guy exploded with growth the past couple of months. The two little caudexes haven’t grown much since my last update (now 3 and 1,5 cm in diameter), but the vines make for a nice and dense little bush.
A cute little pea (Trochomeria on the left) vs. Jabba (Ibervillea on the right).
I’m starting to rethink my grow rack strategy. Both of them shoot out vines and latch onto the top rack that is holding my grow light in place, which isn’t very practical.
I dug out one of the Ibervillea caudexes to see how much they have grown in a month. They are already 6-7 mm wide!
I guess I went all in when I bought my caudiciform seeds. The germination rate was near perfect with both my Ibervillea and these Trochomeria.
My plan now is to let them all grow nice and fat on my grow rack and when they’re ready for a repot in the spring/summer, I’ll create rocky landscapes in big and shallow bonsai pots.
