Amorphophallus konjac

Mom: “I got this plant for free today! Don’t know what it is, though…”

Me: “(googles frantically) It’s an Amorphophallus konjac. It’s pretty rare, so take good care of it :D”

Mom: “(googles plant) … oh no”

So I’m now the proud owner of a Konjac, also known as phallos plant or Devil’s tongue. The annual flower looks like a roadkill and supposedly it smells like one too. I can’t really say it was on my wishlist, but it’s here and I’m going to take good care of it. Gotta say, I like the look of it at the moment. It’s almost like a young bonsai tree.
