Growing succulents from seeds
Just spent a few hours in the sun with my Bear Paws (Cotyledon Tomentosa). They’re happier than they’ve ever been, now that the weather lets them stay outside in my little greenhouse.
After a trial period with my most hardy plants, I moved half of my succulents and cacti outside in my new mini greenhouse. The first plants have survived for a week with temperatures ranging between 3 degrees Celsius at night to 11 degrees and direct sunshine during the day with no problems (btw, I’m in Zone 8a). Some of them have even started to display some nice stress colors from the sun.
In a month’s time, I’ll be moving the more cold sensitive plants outside to catch some sun with the rest of my plants.
Hopefully the temperatures at night will stay above 0 degrees from now and until next winter!
